Finding Your Quinceañera Dress

1. Price.  Price can be a very important factor when choosing your XV dress.  Many dress shops have a variety of price ranges to choose from.  And all XV stores offer complete packages if you are looking for one.  But understand that higher quality quince dresses cost more.
2. Custom Hand Made vs. Manufactured.  Custom, handmade quinceañera dresses will always be more expensive than those made in factories.  This is because you essentially get to design your own unique, one-of-a-kind dress.   
3.  Trying on Dresses.  Some Quince stores have implemented a fee to try on dresses because so many people were going to the stores and trying the dresses on and then trying to buy online.  But the fee is waived/removed if you purchase something from the store.  ***NOTE***  Many online quinceañera dress sites sell counterfeit or inferior quality or inferior versions of some of the popular dresses out there.  Don't buy online.  Buy local and trust that your XV dress store will take good care of you!
4. Comfort.  A comfortable dress = a happy Quinceañera.  There are a lot of things that can be done to make a dress more comfortable.  Just ask your salesperson if something doesn't feel right.  You will be in the dress for a lot of hours so make sure it is comfortable.
5. Start Dress Shopping Early.  To avoid a catastrophe like your dress not arriving in time for pictures (or worse, for your event) we always recommend to start shopping early.  Never wait to the last minute!  Our quinceañera dress shops listed above all have a lot of inventory, but they also sell a lot from designers that have to make the dress and then send it.  That can take 6 months in some cases.  So be sure you start the dress buying process 9 months in advance and clearly communicate the date you need the dress so there is no confusion.  I also recommend telling the stores that you need the dress 1 month before you actually need it so you have a little room if there are unforeseen delays.
